Nice idea, i have never though to use this old method on blogs, specially because it usually brings low amount of traffic so something like that can be Very slow.. but still, an intresting point.
Well it is one of the many ways to get traffic, so we can't ignore it.
Although it should't be used if you got google adsense in your site...still could be used for the programs' links, and it's traffic is not very low, you can earn credits easily.
